AB Dry Powder - Falcon’s AB Dry Powder Fire Extinguishers are suitable for extinguishing Class A, B & C fires. The ABC Dry Powder Fire Extinguishers are widely used in commercial buildings, industrial plants, workshops, laboratories, schools, cars and homes. The dry powder extinguishes the fire through a chemical reaction with the flame. When it is applied to hot and smouldering surfaces, the particles swell to form a barrier to snuff out oxygen from the source fire, thus preventing re-ignition. Removing either one of the 3 factors; heat, oxygen or fuel will prevent any re-ignition of fire. Besides being a poor conductor of electricity, the dry powder can provide the operator with a heat shield and has a fast knock out effect.
Good Against: Class A, B and C fires
Carbon Dioxide - Falcon’s Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguisher is a colourless, odourless gas. A high-pressure discharge of the gas provides a very fast fire fighting action, making it effective against class B and class C fires involving flammable liquids, gases and electrical fires. Being heavier than air, it works by smothering the flames and reducing the oxygen content of the air around the fire. After use, CO2 disperses without leaving any contamination or corrosive residue and will not damage clothing, equipment or material.
Good Against: Class B and C fires
Wet Chemical - Falcon’s Wet Chemical Fire Extinguisher is perfect for Class F fires as it consists of a potassium solution that aids in causing a reaction with the hot oil. It acts as a coating on the surface of the cooking oil/fat in a non-combustible soapy foam mixture, acting as a barrier between the fat or oil.
Good Against: Class F fires
Halotron - Falcon’s Halotron Fire Extinguishers are proven clean fire extinguishing agents applicable to a variety of fires. They are approved for commercial/industrial and military use as a substitute for Halon 1211 in streaming applications. Upon discharge, Halotron™ I fire extinguisher to attack the three corners of the fire triangle and break the fire chain chemically, making re-ignition impossible. Since they are clean agents, they do not leave residue after application. Therefore minimal or no collateral damage occurs to equipment. This is unlike traditional dry powder agents, which are messy and corrosive when employed.
Good Against: Class B & C fires
Water - Falcon’s Water Fire Extinguisher is considered one of the most commonly used extinguishers for extinguishing Class A fires. It is ideal for tackling burning materials such as documents, cloth, wood and furniture. Water-Fire Extinguishers are also very cost-effective which is why it is being widely used.
Good Against: Class A fires
Foam - Falcon’s Foam Fire Extinguishers contain water-based foam which helps tackle both Class A and B fires. It forms a blanket on the fire with a thick layer of foam, keeping oxygen from the high-temperature spots that may re-ignite, thus completing the extinguishing process. Foam is highly effective against petrol and volatile liquids. They are not applicable for fires involving live electrical equipment.
Good Against: Class A & B Fires
Automatic - Falcon’s Automatic Fire Extinguisher is a technological breakthrough, providing automatic fire detection and extinguishing. They are available in either multipurpose Dry Powder or Halotron form. When the temperature reaches 68 degrees Celsius, the sprinkler bulb will burst and allow the contents inside to discharge and extinguish the fire. It is suitable for areas such as warehouses and offices where damages cannot be tolerated.
Good Against: Class A, B and C fires
BONPET - The BONPET Automatic fire extinguisher administered by FALCON consists of pink liquid contained in a little ampoule. It will automatically extinguish fire breakouts in the area it is located. When the temperature of the chemical solutions rises, it starts to dissolve and generates gas within the ampoule. The built-up pressure will cause the ampoule to rupture and diffuse the solution over the burning surface. It is suitable for offices, Engine Rooms and Compartments, Boat Decks, Factories etc.
Lithium - Falcon’s Lithium Fire Extinguisher consists of a non - toxic agent known as aqueous Vermiculite Dispersion (AVD). When being sprayed over a lithium fire, a layer of film forms on the surface which dries up and creates an oxygen barrier at the same time. This would cause the fire to die off itself due to the removal of oxygen that will prevent any form of re-ignition from happening.
Good Against: Class B (Lithium Fires)
